SPREQ cookie and tracking statement

This statement covers spreq.nl and data that the SPREQ app stores or reads on your device. The legal basis is article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act and the GDPR.
1. On the website spreq.nl
1.1 Necessary cookies
These are needed to make the site work. No consent is required for them.

1.2 Statistics
We use a self-hosted analytics tool without cookies and without personal data. We only measure numbers of visits, pages viewed and referring sites. We do not recognise you and do not track you across other websites.
Because no data is stored on or read from your device in this process, consent is not required.
1.3 What we do not use
No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no third-party ad trackers, no social media plugins that track you.
2. In the SPREQ app
The app stores data on your device. Part of that is necessary and part is optional.
2.1 Necessary

This is needed to deliver the service. Without this data the app does not work. No consent is required for the ads on Free profiles: no advertising ID, cookie or tracker is placed or read, and nothing is recorded per person.
2.2 Only with your consent

We ask for this consent separately on first use. You can change or withdraw a choice at any time in the app.
Ads are shown at random and never targeted at who you are, what you chat, your contacts, your files or your behaviour. There is no ad network. We only measure anonymised totals per ad (impressions, clicks and click-through rate) and share those with the advertiser, without personal data.
2.3 Withdrawing consent
Go to Settings and adjust your choice. If you no longer want ads, choose a paid plan. Every paid plan is completely ad-free.
3. Cookies from Apple and Google
If you buy a subscription through the App Store or Google Play, that goes through Apple or Google. They have their own policies on data and tracking, which we have no influence over. See apple.com/legal/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy.
