SPREQ house rules

Version 1.0, valid from 14 August 2026.

These rules form part of the General Terms and Conditions. They apply to everyone who uses SPREQ.

This English text is a translation provided for convenience. The Dutch version is the legally binding one.

SPREQ is a private service. We do not read along with your messages and technically we cannot. That does not mean anything goes. These rules set out what we do when we receive a report or see something ourselves outside an encrypted conversation.

1. What is not allowed

1.1 Criminal

1.2 Harmful to others

1.3 Misuse of the service

1.4 Identity

1.5 Others' rights

3. What we do in the event of a violation

We assess every report on its own merits. Depending on the seriousness, we may:

We do not take any measure based on the content of encrypted conversations, because we do not know it.

4. Reporting

If you see something that breaches these rules, please report it via the report button in the app or via abuse@spreq.nl. How the procedure works is set out in the document Reporting illegal content and abuse.

If you repeatedly submit reports that are clearly unfounded, we may temporarily restrict your ability to report.

5. Objection

If you disagree with a measure, you can object within 6 months via abuse@spreq.nl. A member of staff will reassess your objection. You will receive a substantive response within 14 days.

6. Changes

We may amend these rules. In the event of important changes, we will inform you at least 30 days in advance.
